Vibram Five Fingers (Day Two)
Test: A short light jog around the block, approximately .25 miles. Short CORE workout after consisting of Ring Complex of three excersises, slasher-to-halos(#25 dumbell) and 2min. Jumprope x3 rounds.
Results: Let the fun begin. These shoes really make you run differently, more mindful of each step. I was trying to not heel strike at all, which felt unnatural when doing so anyways. By defaut I am not light on my feet when it comes to jogging, I am a 228lbs. Clydesdale…no joke! I did feel lighter on my feet running with a mid strike, consciously using my feet, ankles and lower legs to absorb the shock, in lieu of my heels. It felt really good, but I didn’t want to over do it. Again, START SLOW!
I arrived home, calves were tight and can be, but no other noticeable pain, feet were fine.
